Assistant Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1–3+ years of restaurant or retail supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25–50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment

Assistant Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and uphold brand standards

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally
  • Help manage inventory, labor, and food costs to support financial goals
  • Oversee safety, sanitation, and policy compliance, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of team members
