Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee day-to-day shop operations, personnel, and overall business performance
• Supervise employees, assign and adjust work schedules and priorities, and manage staffing based on operational needs
• Train, coach, evaluate, and manage employee performance, including making or effectively recommending hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination decisions
• Exercise independent judgment regarding shop operations, staffing, customer relations, safety, and financial performance
• Manage shop sales and profitability, including telephone, in-person, and fleet sales activities
• Oversee the accuracy of estimates and work orders, inventory management, parts ordering strategy, bay management, and workflow efficiency
• Resolve escalated customer concerns and maintain a clean, organized shop and customer waiting area
• Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and other applicable regulatory requirements while driving improvements in sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and bay efficiency

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant automotive experience
• Automotive industry background with previous leadership or management experience
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable to established expectations
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, accept feedback, and implement direction from leadership
• Automotive shop or store management experience, an associate degree or higher, and experience managing sales or performance goals are preferred
