The Ecommerce Merchandising Manager (DIY) role is new to Sherwin-Williams and will be influential in supporting the growing presence in the Ecommerce channel which provides our customers an interconnected experience with paint and supplies as it relates to their personal needs to initiate a project. The Ecommerce Merchandising Manager (DIY) will provide support to the Senior Ecommerce Merchandising Manager with the day-to-day administration of product data, product content, imagery, and site search updates. They will partner with peers on the Content, Data Digital, DIY segment, Marketing and Enrichment teams which supports a best-in-class online experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:  

 

  • Responsible for creation, execution, and governance of DIY merchandising strategy on digital properties including S-W.com, the Color Expert App and SWSamples.com. This role is the primary business lead of the online DIY strategy and will lead a team that drives toward the DIY sales target by optimizing the digital customer experience to lead to product selection and sales conversion.  
  • Partner with the Marketing, Content, Master Data Management team, Marketing communications, Product information, Associated Products, and IT to support site issues, field events, promotions, product updates.  
  • Responsible for understanding the product life cycle, inventory, pricing as it relates to the customer’s user experience, messaging, functionality across digital touchpoints. This requires working cross functionally with other teams and vendors and leveraging the needs of the customer, site and app functionality with the capabilities and needs of both internal and external teams to drive business goals.  
  • Oversee the setup of new product lines and skus. This will include assigning merchandising associations, product availability codes, image, enrichment of the product and asset attribution. The individual will also be responsible for product maintenance of current master catalog and subsequent sales catalogs.
  • Manage a team that updates the attribute dictionary through assignment of defining attributes by product line so that skus can be easily selected for viewing or purchase and by descriptive attribution for merchandising associations.
  • Manage team that supports Digital Marketing team with SEO updates, redirects, site errors, etc.  
  • Manage team that supports promotional activity for the DIY customer and strategically works with promotional team on what our digital channel needs in order to maximize each promotional time frame.

FORMAL EDUCATION:  

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree  

 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related study

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required: 

  • 3 years of Ecommerce experience in a similar business model.

Preferred: 

  • 5 years of Ecommerce experience in a similar business model.
  •  Building materials, coatings industry, experience a plus.
