We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial Bakery & Dessert Operations Manager to help launch and lead an exciting new dessert concept created by a highly successful hospitality entrepreneur. This is a unique opportunity to build systems, shape culture, and play a key leadership role in opening a high-profile concept from the ground up.

Bakery & Dessert Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications – this is what Hunter will prioritize screening for

  • 3+ years of management experience within bakery, dessert, pastry, or specialty food concepts
  • New store opening experience is REQUIRED
  • Strong culinary foundation with baking or pastry experience highly preferred
  • Proven experience managing labor, food cost, inventory, ordering, scheduling, and P&L accountability

Must Haves

  • Ability to create and implement operational systems, recipes, prep procedures, and quality standards from scratch
  • Comfortable leading both front- and back-of-house operations in a fast-paced opening environment
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to jump into production, prep, or service as needed
  • Experience building schedules, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining consistency across daily execution

Bakery & Dessert Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience working with upscale dessert, bakery, café, or experiential food brands
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Passion for hospitality, guest experience, and creating memorable products
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop hourly teams
