Team Lead Metal Department 

Location: Onsite - Union City, TN

Competitive Compensation: At $25.39 per hour.

Shift: 1st: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday.

We are looking for Team Lead for our Glass & Metal Department. This position will be based at our Union City, TN location, where we specialize in manufacturing high-quality shower glass doors.

Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities 

This is a working lead role to perform the duties listed below. The Team Leader will assist supervisors as needed throughout the plant in a variety of areas including directing associates in the assignment of work by priority and schedule, also will assist with the performance of duties as they relate to. Specifics in each aspect are as follows:

 
•Safety- ensure 5s practices, PPE, and safe work practices. Depending on the specific role, your responsibilities may include:
•Quality – Accurate disposition of scrap, substitutions, production reporting, adherence to SOP, learn to audit work 
methods.
•Delivery – Use of hour-by-hour chart with follow up, facilitate meetings, communicate with shift on production 
goals, and ensure oldest order completion.
•Cost – direct effective assignment of work with focus on following standard work, completing priority objectives 
as issued, directing performance of work areas duties as they relate to safety, quality, delivery.
•People – Effectively communicate the daily team objectives, follow up on daily issues, develop and maintain effective communication with Management in other areas; assist in maintaining control of company policies, safety regulations, housekeeping and operating standards; and other assignments as given.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate both written and orally. 
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred-having displayed leadership in a Kaizen event.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential duties of the position and capable of handling up to 25 pound.

  • Reliability: Consistent attendance and work performance.
  • Screening: Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
