Job Description:

This is a union-represented position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Eligible employees receive health and welfare benefits through the Teamsters Managed Health Care Trust, which may include medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance. Employees may be eligible for pension benefits through the Teamsters Pension Plan, with employer contributions made in accordance with the agreement. Employees with other qualifying medical coverage may have the option to participate in an annuity plan in lieu of health coverage. All wages, benefits, and eligibility requirements are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and Trust Fund rules.

Primary Responsibilities:
As the Inventory Cycle Counter, you will be responsible for performing counts of the physical inventory andresearching ways to insure efficiencies within the inventory processes. You will count material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in-stock to provide inventory records for the warehouse. A successful candidate will play a key role in providing quality assurance to warehouse practices.

Position Details:
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM
  • Payrate: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour DOE (Depending On Experience) 
  • Must be willing to work in a freezer environment (freezer environments can range from 36°F (2°C) to -10°F (-23°C) with freezer jackets provided.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in-stock; creating total inventory records.
  • Comparing inventories to office records and computing figures from records.
  • Verifying clerical computations against physical count of stock and investigating discrepancies.
  • Monitoring inventory rotations and making recommendations as needed.
  • Preparing reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns.
  • Preparing list of depleted items and recommending survey of defective/unusable items.
  • Reviewing and investigating daily reports directed by the Auditor.
  • Maintaining shrink at or below company standard.
  • Understanding overall business and departments in how they impact inventory and its integrity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

• 6+ months of cycle counting and/or inventory control experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.

• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position

• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift

• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift

• Must be willing to work in a freezer environment ( freezer environments can range from 36°F (2°C) to -10°F (-23°C). Freezer jackets are provided)

• RF Scanner experience

• Knowledge of some inventory software (AS400, Oracle, etc.)

• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check

• Microsoft Office experience

•Intermediate knowledge/experience with Excel.
