Wholesale Seafood General Manager

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of buyers, as well as a proven track record of negotiating favorable terms with vendors.


Wholesale Seafood General Manager Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and identify new business opportunities
  • Manage a team of account managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Create and maintain an efficient and effective wholesale operations infrastructure, including but not limited to order processing, customer service, logistics, and accounting
  • Analyze data and market trends to make recommendations on product assortment, inventory levels, and reordering
  • Negotiate terms of sale and contracts with vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Prepare and manage the departmental budget, ensuring that expenditures are within allocated limits

Wholesale Seafood General Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree is highly preferred
  • 3 to 5 years experience in wholesale management, sales, or related role
  • Proven track record of achieving quotas and targets
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key accounts
  • Experience managing a team of salespeople
  • In-depth knowledge of the product, industry, and market trends
  • Technologically savvy
